Check that the phone meets the minimum requirements and that the car head unit is compatible with Android Auto. Android Auto must be activated on the head unit. The phone must have a fast and stable Internet connection.
Start the car and put it in neutral (parking) gear. Wait for the head unit software to load. Connect the phone to the head unit with the USB cable. Follow the on-screen instructions.

It may take a few seconds to establish a wireless connection. If necessary, start Android Auto on the screen of the car's head unit.
To terminate the connection, tap the Exit option on the phone's notification screen.
