When you plan a long route you usually have to take into account several aspects. For example, you'd like to cross at a specified border crossing, you'd like to use toll roads in a country, but not in an another one, etc.
Such complex requirements could possibly be enforced to some extent by adding appropriate waypoints to the route. However, during a long trip, it can easily happen that the navigation is interrupted for some reason, and managing a long route this way can become very cumbersome.
If a waypoint is not reached for some reason, then HERE WeGo tries to navigate back to there. This can complicate the navigation even further.
To navigate a long drive, try breaking it up into a few shorter sections. You can save the intermediate destinations in a collection, and then perform the navigation separately for each section (even with different route preferences for each section). In this way restarting the navigation, or recalculating the route when deviating from it can be much simpler.
The same may apply to planning a tour. The waypoints of a tour can be saved in a temporary collection.
In the case of more complex requirements, it is likely that an application made for business purposes is recommended.
